The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has been instrumental in representing and championing the industry. In its 189th year of service to trade and commerce, the Madras Chamber is the voice of business and industry and is one of the oldest apex bodies in India. The Chamber comprises top industrialists, chief executives of multinational and national corporations, board members of public enterprises, heads of financial institutions, and management experts. Their mission is to proactively influence public policy and practice on issues which impact the Economy, Trade, Commerce & Industry as also social processes such as Education & Health, Infrastructure & Environment.
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS CHENNAI REGIONAL CENTRE
The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) is a professional body that represents the interests of chemical engineers in India. Established in 1947, its mission is to promote the advancement of chemical engineering knowledge and practice, foster professional development, and contribute to the welfare of society. IIChE organizes various events, conferences, workshops, and training programs to facilitate knowledge exchange, skill development, and networking among professionals. It also publishes journals and technical resources to support the growth of chemical engineering in India. The institute is involved in both national and international activities, collaborating with similar organizations globally.
INDIAN DESALINATION ASSOCIATION
Indian Desalination Association (InDA) was established in the year 1991 with the main goal for the development and promotion of the appropriate use of desalination and water treatment technologies. Being a neutral association without any commercial bias, InDA is active in spreading awareness and providing an interface for enhanced interaction amongst the stakeholders namely the user sectors, industries, academicians, policymakers and program implementation agencies. InDA is an affiliate of International Desalination Association (IDA) as well as Asia Pacific Desalination Association (APDA) for policy advocacy and adopting world best practices. Each year InDA conduct's an international conference to enhance the skills as well to interact with small & medium industries to enable them to mitigate the problems related to wastewater & water management in addition to pollution control.
THE INDIAN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATION
The Indian Environmental Association (IEA) is a reputable organization founded in 1996 with a primary focus on serving environmental professionals in India. The association boasts a diverse membership comprising Engineers, Scientists, Planners, State Pollution Control Boards, Operators, Non-Government organizations, and others dedicated to the field of environmental conservation. The IEA supports environmental professionals in India, promoting stewardship and sustainability. Based in Mumbai, the IEA has a nationwide presence.
